In the early morning of Saturday, May 23rd, Amber’s soul left her body and rose to Heaven taking with her, her zest for life, her constant chattering, her silly antics, her crazy laugh, and her overwhelming love of people and animals. The world was forever changed and is now a little less bright and a lot quieter. A native of Thomasville, Amber was born on August 21,1974. She attended Thomasville City and Davidson County Schools and graduated in 1992 from Ledford. She trained at All American Beauty Academy and was a cosmetologist for 30+ years, most currently at Salon 360 in High Point. Her favorite places were the beach and the lake. She was an avid fisher, loved swimming and boating, and was obsessed with collecting shark’s teeth and shells. Antiquing, gardening, and singing along to good music were relaxing pastimes also. Amber leaves behind to cherish her memory: husband, Kevin Jarrett; Fur-baby “Bobby” the Beagle; mother, Debbie Shuler; father, Gary Curry; Sister, Jayme Billings (Steve); Brother, Andy Curry; Brother-in-law, Reggie Jarrett; nieces: Courtney Billings and Brealynn Jarrett; nephews: Bristol Billings, Bryson Curry, Cameron Szaloky, and Chandler Szaloky. She will also live on in the hearts of her many dear friends and loyal clients. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Amber with donations to Pine Woods Church in Thomasville, Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, Davidson County Animal Shelter or any Animal Rescue.
A Memorial Service will be held at J. C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville on Thursday, May 28th. Visitation: 2-3 pm and Service: 3:00 pm, Chapel. Burial will be private.
