Doris Taylor Moore

Doris Taylor Moore passed away on November 24, 2020 peacefully at Hospice of the Piedmont.  Doris was born November 21, 1925 to W.O. and Mamie Taylor. She was 95 years young and was the last of 9 children; sisters, Jackie, Thelma, Peggy, Ann, Bertha, Lillian, Mary and brother Jack. In addition to her siblings and parents she was proceeded in death by her husband of 65 years, Alex G. Moore and 2 grandchildren, Pam and Ronnie.  Doris was a resident of Trinity for the majority of her life.  She was a hard worker who was known for always meeting people with a friendly smile.  She retired from the Department of Transportation following an accomplished career as an LPN doing private duty.  She was a dedicated member of Trindale Baptist Church. Some of Doris's favorite times were spent at ball fields cheering on her 3 great-great grandchildren; Landon, Bryson and Isabel. In addition to her great-great grandchildren, Doris leaves to cherish her love and precious memories, a daughter, Beverly Davis; as well as 3 great-granddaughters, Lana, Lauren and Madi and husbands Bryan, Trey and Seth. Doris also leaves behind her beloved dog, AG.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Floral Garden Memorial Park Mausoleum with Rev. Tony Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trindale Baptist Church, 10407 Archdale Road Trinity, NC 27370 and/or Hospice of the Piedmont 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
