Dorothy "Dot" Beck-Mills Obituary

Mrs. Dorothy “Dot” Mae Yates Beck-Mills, 91, who resided in the home of her caregiver in High Point since October 2006, passed away after an extended illness of Dementia. Mrs. Mills was born in Davidson County to the late Early Roscoe and Carrie Essie Clodfelter Yates on March 17, 1929. She worked in the furniture industry in Thomasville for many years. She then went on to open her own catering truck business before her retirement. Mrs. Mills was a member of Midway School Road Baptist Church in Thomasville.

Mrs. Mills is survived by her three children; nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; and her caregiver, James M. Joyner of the home.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020 at 2:00 PM in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. There will be no formal visitation. She will be open for friends and family to pay respects from Sunday at 4:00 PM till Saturday at 12:00 PM in JC Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville.
