Duncan Worsham Obituary

Duncan Coleman Worsham, 81 of Denton, North Carolina passed away on March 20, 2024. 

Born January 24, 1943, he was the son of the late Herman Wakefield Worsham and Eileen Coleman Worsham. He was the husband to the late Elizabeth Ann Dawson Worsham for 55 years. 

Mr. Worsham, known as “Pops” to his children and grandchildren, graduated from Thomas Dale High School in Chester, Virginia in 1961. Furthering his education, Mr. Worsham attended Ferrum College,1963, Virginia Commonwealth University,1968 and the University of Tennessee. During his youth he participated in baseball, football, drama, Boy Scouts, and Sunday school.

He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomasville, North Carolina, where he regularly attended and participated as a member of the Fellowship Sunday school class. Mr. Worsham served as a President and Chairman of Eastern Henrico Jaycees. He was Scoutmaster of Troop 522 in Sandston, Virginia where he had 19 scouts attain the rank of Eagle Scout. 

Mr. Worsham is survived by his four children Tyron Worsham of Denton, NC, Merle Worsham of Woodstock, GA, Penny Snader (Joey) of New Windsor, MD, Joel Worsham (Jaime) of Asheboro, NC; five grandchildren, Abbie Worsham, Andrejs Worsham, Joelle Snader, Jodie Worsham, Jocelyn Snader. He is also survived by his sister, Sylvia Traylor and several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm at Memorial United Methodist Church, Thomasville, North Carolina on Monday, March 25, 2024. Reverand Danny Leonard will be officiating.

Interment will be held at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Family will greet friends at J.C. Green and Sons funeral home in Thomasville, North Carolina on Sunday, March 24th from 3:00-5:00 PM.

 In lieu of flowers a memorial gift should be made to Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomasville North Carolina or Randolph Hospice House in Asheboro, North Carolina.
