Dwain J Norris

Mr. Dwain J Norris, 69, formerly of Oaklawn Drive passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Thomasville Medical Center.

Dwain was born June 1, 1951 to the late Alton Norris and Alice Nealey Norris in Tabor City. He worked for many years in the furniture industry. Dwain was active in the local church for many years before his declining health. He loved to use his hands in woodworking and blessing others with his talents.

In addition to his parents, Dwain was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Betty Joe Moore Norris; several brothers and sisters, Margie, Maurice, Iris, Marshall, Dizzie.

Surviving are his two sons, Jeff Norris and wife Sherri of Lexington, Shad Norris and wife Chelsea of Thomasville; three grandchildren, Joshua Norris and fiancé Angel Deavers, Michaela Norris and fiancé Jessie Kepley, Hailey Pryce, all of Lexington; three great-grandchildren, Nova Grace, Ayden and Addison; a brother, Mike; four sisters, Sarah Lane, Nizie Suggs, Mary Norris, Argie Jones; special friends, Rick and Robin Hill, James House.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021 at 2:00 PM at the Thomasville Church of God with Rev. C. Alan Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will greet friends prior from 12:30 to 1:30 PM at the church.  Memorials may be directed to Thomasville Church of God.
