“Earl” Edward Laws

“Earl” Edward Laws, 63, of Lexington passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Earl was born September 26, 1962 in Bell County, Kentucky to the late Zeb Laws, Jr. and Mary Wanda Siler Laws. He was an artist; he loved to pencil sketch photos. He loved to visit the beach and mountains. Earl was an avid Carolina Panthers fan. He will be greatly missed. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Clifford Calvin Laws; and one sister, Norma Jean Gilmore.

Surviving are his two brothers, David Wayne Laws of Milford, Ohio, and Harold Gene Laws and wife Jessica of Salisbury; two sisters, Joann Tonsor and husband Tim of Daytona Beach, Florida and Lisa Embler and fiance Scott Owens of Lexington.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 2, 2026 at 11:00 AM at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Billy Parham officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
