Eden Marie Barton

Miss Eden Marie Barton, "known for her blankets and bows", passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2025 at Duke University Hospital.  She was born on June 1, 2025, a daughter of Matthew Ryan Barton and Tabetha “Tabby” Michelle Reynolds Barton.

She was preceded in death by her late maternal grandmother, Darlene Reynolds.  She loved her bed-time stories, prayers, and her little birdie mobile.  She had a personality like no other with her sass and determination.  She fought like a true warrior.  Daddy's head rubs and mama's voice could calm her in an instant.  She changed so many lives in such a short period of time.  Eden's story for God's glory.

Surviving are her parents, Ryan and Tabby; her maternal grandfather, Darrell “Gene” Reynolds (Cindy); paternal grandmother, Donna Pierce (Rick); paternal grandfather, Jonathan Barton; great-grandmother, Jo Ann Frankel; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Grayson McNeill officiating.  Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.  The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Friday, September 19, 2025 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM. The family would like to express a sincere thank you to all her NICU Nurses at Duke University Hospital, who loved caring for her.
