Edward "Eddie" Lee Kennedy Obituary
Mr. Edward “Eddie” Lee Kennedy, 70, of Lexington, passed away on Sunday, August 17, 2025 at the Henry Etta & Bruce Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. He was born on April 2, 1955 in Guilford County, NC to Robert Lee Kennedy and Joyce Hope Herndon Kennedy. He was a US Marine Corps veteran and worked for Henredon Furniture in High Point.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Kennedy.
On May 29, 1981, he married Kathy Ann Lawson, who survives of the home; also surviving are his mother Joyce Hope Kennedy; his daughter, Heather Kennedy Holdaway (Kenny); his son, Ben Kennedy (Elise); two step-sons, Oliver Dennis, IV and Chad Anthony Dennis (Marcy); his brother, Robert Wayne Kennedy; his sister, Vicky Lynn Woody (Mike); seven grandchildren, Claire Kennedy, Samantha Kennedy, Dillon Brightwell,, Kaitlyn Allison (R.J.), Luci Dennis, Oliver Dennis, V, and Conan Dennis; and three great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Wyatt, and Kohen.
A private family graveside service will be held at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point with Rev. Elise Kennedy officiating. No formal visitation will be held.
