Edwin Lourenza Hardee, Sr Obituary

Edwin Lourenza Hardee, Sr., 75, of Thomasville, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Meadowbrook of Salisbury. Edwin was born on March 18, 1951, in Horry County. He attended Heath Church. Edwin worked for many years as a carpenter in the construction industry. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Edwin Hardee, Jr.; his sister, Joyce Newman; and his brother, Buddy Hardee.


Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife, Deborah Anne Rector Hardee of the home; four daughters, Tracy Nicole Leonard and husband Travis of Thomasville, Randi Lynn Hughes and Richard Gaskill of Linwood, Jennifer Hughes Gebhardt and husband Cory of Salisbury, and Terri Carpenter and husband Michael of Denton. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Tyler Leonard, Ethan Conard, Kennith Gaskill, Michael Gaskill, Katherine Gebhardt, Sadie "Bug" Gebhardt, Kelly Parrish, Chris Mullis, Dustin Carpenter, Daniel Carpenter and Jordan Hardee; several great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and friends.


A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 5, 2026, at Heath Church in Lexington, with Rev. Dan Downing officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
