Elizabeth "Lakita" (Harvell) Carden Obituary

Elizabeth Lakita Harvell Carden, 76, of High Point passed away Thursday, January 8, 2026 at her home. Lakita was born February 5, 1949 in Davidson County to the late Wesley Harvell and Mabel Cranford. She worked many years in administration. She loved life; she enjoyed shopping, watching movies, going out to eat, visiting casinos, traveling and taking vacation; but most of all spending time with her beloved family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend, she will be greatly missed. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Michael “Mike” Carden.


Surviving is her son, Lance Carden and wife Lee of Archdale; daughter, Michelle Carden; five grandchildren, Destiny Locklear, Landon Carden, Isabelle Carden, Kendra Carden and Dylan Locklear; she also leaves behind one great-grandchild, Carter Scott.
