Emma Caroline Trueblood-Thompson, 12 years old, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Biloxi, Mississippi on July 19, 2026.  Emma was born in Okinawa, Japan on July 7, 2014, the daughter of Daniel Glenn Thompson and Hailey Marie Trueblood-Thompson. Emma was a very smart, loving and empathetic girl, a social butterfly, who loved to talk and learn about others.  She helped pack lunches and would buy things to bring to school for others.  Emma liked sleepovers, all the snuggles, hugs & kisses, the color pink & purple, cherry blossoms, unicorns and mermaids.  She liked to play board games, anime, riding her bike, high heels, dresses, perfume, science and math, however she didn’t like social studies.  Emma loved cats, little kids, dancing, singing and spending time with her family, whether it was playing board games, being at the beach or just playing at the house together. 

Emma is preceded in death by her grandmother, Brenda K. Thompson. 

Left to cherish Emma’s memory are her mother, Hailey Trueblood-Thompson; her father, Daniel G. Thompson; her Memere and Jagie, Michele and Christopher Malan; her Papa, Jimmy Riggs; her Aunt, Christa Riggs; her siblings, Chloe, Gabriel, Akira Trueblood-Thompson; her grandfather, Roger G. Thompson; her uncle, Tito and her uncle Matt Matt, Matthew Riggs. Emma will be remembered, as a very special daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece and friend to many, who will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her. 

A celebration of life will be held at 12:00 Noon, on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville, NC, with Pastor Mike officiating.  The family will greet friends starting at 11:00 AM at the funeral home, prior to the service. 

Emma’s family would like for everyone to keep her light alive by choosing kindness!
