Emma Arkansas Fleming Northcutt, 84, of Trinity went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 7, 2025 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Emma was born September 14, 1940 in Letcher County, Kentucky to the late Asa Wright and Lidia Fleming. Emma worked many years in factories, mostly specializing in machine manufacturing. She absolutely loved working in the garden, tending to her flowers, cooking, and canning; but her greatest joy in life, was the time she spent with her family. She was a faithful wife, mom, grandma, sister and friend; she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by one son, Darrell Wade Wyatt; one daughter, Shirley Kaye Hopkins; one grandson, Joshua Wyatt; one great-grandson, Joseph Brent Williams.
Surviving is her husband of 48 years, Oliver Wayne Northcutt; four daughters, Vicky Varner and husband Chad, Crystal Ford and husband Donald, Carol Davis and husband Jerry, and Mary Ann Hatfield and husband Robert; one brother, Bill Fleming; ten grandchildren, BJ Allen, Melissa Baker, Darrell Wyatt, Jr., Billy Wyatt, Emily Williams, Derrick Tollison, Madison Coltrane, Paris Ford, Michael Varner, and Juanita “Tweety Bird” Wyatt. She also leaves behind many beloved great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
A funeral service will be held Friday, June 13, 2025 at 2:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel-122 W. Main Street Thomasville, NC 27360 with Grayson King officiating. Interment will follow at Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery in Greensboro. The family will greet friends prior to the service from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
