Ernest "Stan" Stanford Moore

Ernest “Stan” Stanford Moore, 86, of Thomasville went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 13, 2021 at his residence.

Stan was born July 19, 1935 to the late Eula Mills Moore. He grew up working on a family farm in Marshville, NC. Stan was a member of the Thomasville Masonic Lodge, and later became a Shriner. In his early life, he worked for Green Printing in Lexington, and was a teacher for several years. Stan enjoyed working in his yard and spending quality time with family. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Thomasville.

In addition to his mother, Stan was preceded in death by his three brothers, Donald Vann Moore, Horace Calvin Moore, and William Frank Moore. Surviving is his wife of 64 years, Ann Whitener Moore of the home; three children, Brian Moore of Shallotte, Gary Moore of Wallburg, Julie Moore Love and husband Brad of Thomasville; a brother, Earl Moore of Lexington; two grandchildren, Ashley “Snoopy” Armfield and husband Matt, Jackie Love; two great-grandchildren, Jack Armfield, Aurora “Birdie” Love; extended family.
