Essie Mae Rabon Jordan Obituary

Essie Mae Rabon Jordan, 91, of Trinity passed away Thursday, May 29, 2025 at her home. Essie was born November 13, 1933 in Horry County, South Carolina to the late Hallie Rabon and Amy King Rabon.  Essie loved the Lord with all her heart. She was a member of Pine Woods Church. She worked over 30 years for Drexel Heritage, until retirement. In her younger years, she enjoyed visiting the beach. Her greatest joy in life was her family and the time she spent with them. Essie will be greatly missed.  Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Eugene Jordan; her son, Micheal Lynn Jordan; one grandson, Cody Jordan; six sisters and four brothers.

Surviving is her one granddaughter, Kristen Jordan and fiancé Jonathan; three great-grandchildren, Caden Jordan, Skylar Taylor, and Jace Taylor; one brother, Hal Rabon, Jr. and wife Linda; daughter-in-law, Melissa Jordan; one step-son, Robert Eugene Jordan, Jr. and wife Sue Beth of Alabama; one step-grandson, Nigel Guntharp and wife Haley; dear friend, Bill McDowell; her beloved dog, Roscoe.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, June 1, 2025 at 4:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Bryant Madren officiating. Interment will follow at Bethany United Church of Christ Cemetery in Winston Salem. The family will greet friends Saturday evening from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM at J.C.
