Faye (Nunley) Dawson

Faye Nunley Dawson, 82, of Wallburg, NC passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, with her daughter and granddaughter by her side.  She was born on September 28, 1942 in Bluefield, Virginia to the late William and Annalee Wiley Nunley.  Faye brought love and grace to those she met.  She loved planting flowers, sewing, ceramics, and helping the elderly.  Faye was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church serving as Sunday School Teacher to teenage girls, where many have stayed in touch with her throughout the years. She shared the news of Jesus to everyone she met and enjoyed listening to the teachings of Dr. David Jeremiah.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Howard “Doug” Dawson; grandson, Jared Cole Roberts; son-in-law, Roy Roberts; and one brother and sister.

Faye is survived by her daughter, Angelia Roberts; granddaughter, Haley Davis and husband Dex; great-grandchildren, Dawson, Hudson, and Peyton; and her fur baby, Penny.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Wallburg Chapel, 10301 N. NC Hwy 109, Winston-Salem with the Rev. Terry Venable officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Wednesday beginning at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Memorial gifts may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Dr., High Point, NC 27262
