Frances Pauline (Scroggs) Myers

Mrs. Frances Scroggs Myers, 88, of Thomasville passed away at Mountain Vista Health Park on July 9, 2020. She was born on September 22, 1931 in Thomasville, NC to the late Joseph T Scroggs, Sr. and Ola Mae Stinson Scroggs. Frances was a long-time employee and retired from Citizens Insurance Agency. On, July 9, 1949, she married Clayton Eugene Myers, who preceded her in death on May 11, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a son, Ronald Myers; a granddaughter, Chelsea Myers; a sister, Ruth Scroggs Martin; and a brother, Joseph T Scroggs, Jr.

Surviving are three daughters, Debbie Honeycutt (Tom), Karen Burrow (Reid) and Laura Grubb (Darrell); a son, Steve Myers (Robin); six grandchildren, Phillip Honeycutt (Danielle), Heather McLaughlin (Matthew), Justin Akins (Rachel), Karissa Grubb, Ashley King (Greg) and Angela Steed (Andy); seven great-grandchildren, Sammie Grice, Knox Akins, Jack Akins, Nora McLaughlin, Ben King, Colten King, and Cody Steed; one sister, Mildred Scroggs Martin and a special friend, Johnny Cutshaw.

A graveside memorial service will be held Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery in Thomasville. The body will remain at JC Green & Sons until the time of the service. The family requests that memorials be made to Mountain Vista Health Park at 106 Mountain Vista Rd., Denton, NC 27239.
