Franklin Olen Burr Obituary

Mr. Franklin Olen Burr, 77, a resident of Klopman Mill Rd. passed away on Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home. He was born on April 3, 1943 in Albemarle, NC to Franklin Burr and Cora Conell Burr. He retired as a truck driver from Thomasville Furniture Industries after 38 years and previously worked at Colby Diary and Old Dominion. He attended Bethel Baptist Church in Denton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Arlene Hollifield Burr on July 8, 2010.

Surviving is his daughter, Dana Renee Burr and fiancé Ricky Martin of the home; step-daughter, Mindy Whitman and husband Tommy of Thomasville; granddaughter, Laura Blackwell; grandson, Isaac Blackwell; and brother, Boyd Burr of Denton.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Harrison Park in Denton with Reverend David Lancaster officiating.
