Gary Lee Grubb

Mr. Gary Lee Grubb, 86, of Hillcrest Drive, passed away on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at the Piedmont Crossing Retirement Community.  He was born on June 2, 1936 in Davidson County, NC to Herman Kinsey Grubb and Alta Lee Glover Grubb.

He retired from Hatteras Yachts in High Point and was a member of Emanuel Reformed Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Arlene Sullivan Grubb, on November 17, 2017, whom he married in 1955; a great-grandbaby, Wyatt; brother, Eric Grubb; and sister, Julia O’Leary.

Surviving are his three daughters, Brenda Burchette (CW) and LaRhonda Manning, all of Thomasville, and Tracy Caswell (Joseph) of Midway; five grandchildren, Marcie Batten, Candy Hazelwood, Christy Nickerson (Roger), Jeremy Manning (Allison), and Lauren Cable (Matt); nine great-grandchildren, Cameron Nance, Autumn Hazelwood, Eli Hazelwood, Lucas Nickerson, Taylor Manning, Katie Manning, Calleigh Cable, Olivia Cable, and Ryker Cable, and one great-great grandchild, Aiden Nance.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 5, 2023 at 4:00 PM at Emanuel Reformed Church in Thomasville with Pastor Ricky Payne officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday, June 4, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the JC Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville and at other times at the home of his daughter, LaRhonda.  Online condolences can be made to the Grubb family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
