Gene Ray Scott

Gene Ray Scott, 65, of Lexington passed away Saturday, December 27, 2025 at his residence. Gene was born September 28, 1960 in Columbus County to the late George Scott and Jean Watts Scott. Gene attended Kingdom Vision Ministries Global. He worked many years at Thomasville Furniture Industries. He enjoyed NASCAR and going fishing. He will be greatly missed. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Gene Ray Scott, II.; brother, Marty Livingston; niece, Brittany Jean Scott.

Surviving is his daughter, Amanda Leavens of Thomasville; aunt, Christine Watts of the home; brothers, Chuck Scott and wife Rene of Thomasville, Barry Scott of Eden; sisters, Gina Hicks and husband Jesse of Thomasville, Cindy Livingston of Texas, Lisa Ingram and husband Randy of Archdale; grandson, Toby McNeill; and his cousin and best friend, William A. Williams of the home, and many other nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Kingdom Vision Ministries Global with Rev. Randy Parris officiating. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
