George Gregory (Greg) Housand

Mr. George Gregory ‘Greg’ Housand, 61, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, February 15, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. Greg was born on September 7, 1959 in Davidson County to the late Joseph L. Housand, Sr. and Verlie Justice Housand.  He was retired from Proctor and Gamble where he served for 35 years. Greg was an avid Carolina Panthers fan and during his high school years was known as a great competitive debater.  The family will remember him as a great husband, father, and brother.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Alisa Greene Housand;  father, Joseph Housand, Sr.; mother, Verlie J. Boswell; and step-father, V. L. Boswell, Jr..

He is survived by a daughter, Angalena Caroline Housand of the home; two brothers, Joe Housand, Jr. and wife Patti, and Paul Housand and wife Marcia all of Thomasville; a niece, Ruth Anna Richards and husband Chase; and two nephews, Joe Housand, III and wife Stephanie, and J.P. Housand and wife Sally.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, February 19, 2021 at Wallburg Baptist Church with Pastor Brandon Wolfe officiating. Due to inclement weather interment will be scheduled for a later date.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the church fellowship hall.
