Mrs. Glinna Smith Bryant, age 87, went to be with her Lord and Savior and was reunited with her sweetheart of 69 years, Ralph Bryant on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, while at Novant Health Kernersville Medical Center. She was born on September 9, 1938, in Davidson County to the late Hampton Wade and Minnie Lee Smith. Glinna was a faithful member of Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church and was retired from AT&T (Western Electric). During her high school years, she enjoyed playing basketball and later loved to bowl and play golf. Glinna enjoyed planting and working with flowers and gardening. She also loved to travel and spend time at the beach. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in death by a son, Randy Bryant; one sister, and three brothers.
Left to cherish her memory is a daughter, Debbie Mann and husband Ronnie of Winston-Salem; son, Robbie Bryant and wife Debra of Winston-Salem; two sisters, Eva Spurgeon and husband Charles and Dorothy Canada; eight grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda, Kristen, Sydney, Abby, Shannon, Zach, and Hannah; nine great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Abbotts Creek Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Steve Livengood, Rev. Mark Hollar, and Rev. Joe Bryant officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 2:00 PM, at the church, 2817 Abbotts Creek Church Road, High Point, NC 27265.
