Gregory Jerome Irving

Mr. Gregory "Greg NewBorn" Jerome Irving, age 68, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at Piedmont Crossing Retirement Community.
He was born on June 12, 1957, in Brooklyn, New York, to the late Arthur Irving and Hattie Toland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Doris Irving and Patricia "Pat" Kersandra Irving.

Greg was an avid New York Jets fan. In his spare time, he enjoyed a good cup of coffee, spending time outdoors, listening to Old School music, and talking with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his brother, Tyrone Toland (Ruth); his fiancée, Kelly Legrand, and her children, Kellijah and Joshua; and his nephews, Andre(Kimberly), Kimberly, Nisha, Stephen(Janella), and Anthony(Shay). Additionally his great nieces and nephews include Andre, Kiana, Patricia, Andrea, and Tabitha.

He is also survived by great-great nieces & nephews, Ramelo, Zimeriah, Ravaughn, Skylar, Isaiah, Jalen, Bryson, Noah, Sevyn and Stephen Jr.

Greg will be remembered for his warm and funny spirit, love of conversation, and the simple joys that brought him happiness. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
