Mr. Harold Dean Baxley, Sr., a resident of Kernersville, NC, passed away on Friday, July 24, 2026.

Harold was born on September 29, 1938 in Guilford County, NC, (High Point) a son of the late Nelson Harrell Baxley and the late Verlia Jeanette Griffin Baxley and had made this area his home all of his life. Harold was a retired furniture maker, enjoyed camping, watching TV, going to races at Bowman Gray Stadium and NASCAR and loved going to the beach. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Heather Pierce.

Those left to cherish his memory is his loving wife Rita Ann Wood Baxley whom he married July 14, 1962; sons, Dean Baxley, Jr. and his wife Teri of Kernersville, NC, Richard Baxley of High Point, NC; grandchildren, Kendall Hartsook and her husband Daniel of High point, NC, Brittany Bowman and her husband Clint of Black Mountain, NC, Jessica Baxley of Lexington, VA, Joshua Baxley of Winston-Salem, NC; great-grandsons, Shane Pierce and Baxley Hartsook.
