Harvey Junior Leonard, 92, of Thomasville passed away peacefully Thursday, October 30, 2025 at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center. Harvey was born November 13, 1932 in Davidson County to the late John Leonard and Ida Bell Leonard. He attended Thomasville Church of God, which he loved dearly. Harvey served his county in the United States Air Force. He worked many years as a Electrician, and was part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical workers. He loved going fishing, dancing and pulling for the Atlanta Braves. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers.
Surviving are his two sons, Dwight Leonard and Curtis Leonard, both of Lexington; two daughters, Harveta Robbins and husband Perry of Mocksville and Candy Johnson and husband Randy of Thomasville; two sisters, Frances King and husband Terry of Thomasville, Maggie Smith of Asheboro; three grandchildren, Whitney Robbins, Brandon Johnson and Brittany Johnson. He also leaves behind seven great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Thomasville Church of God with Rev. Alan Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will great friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 PM-8:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
