Mrs. Hazel Emajane Wagoner Plummer, 90 a resident of Thomasville passed away on August 03, 2020 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Guilford County on March 04, 1930 a daughter to the late Harrison Wagoner and Essie Clodfelter Wagoner. Hazel was a lifelong member of Archdale Friends Meeting and loved her church family. She worked as a title clerk in the automobile industry most of her career and was involved in community activities which included the Red Hat Society and the “Diet” Club, which in turn became a Diner’s Club. Hazel had a lot of hobbies she enjoyed, such as shopping and returning especially on Senior discount day, crossword puzzles and family dinners to mention a few. She had an intelligent wit, loving heart and above all her family came first and they filled her home with warmth and love. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband and love of her life of 61 years, Robert “Philmore” Plummer on August 02, 2017 and siblings, Raymond Wagoner, Lois Welborn and Shelby Spainhour.
Surviving are her son, Phil Plummer, Jr and wife Vicky of Randleman; daughters, Cathy Pardue and husband Keith of FL. and Kay Lawrence and husband Steve (Bolt) of Thomasville; granddaughter, Katie Erickson and husband Greg; great-grandchildren, Cameron Erickson and Adalynn Kate Erickson; step grandchildren, April and Mary Tatro, Tony and Stephanie Janutolo, Stefanie Pardue, Kevin Pardue and Ben Degner.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 08, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Archdale Friends Meeting with Rev. Russell Parsons officiating. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Archdale Friends Meeting, 114 Trindale Road, Archdale NC 27263 or Leukemiafoundation.org/donate/memory.
