Helen Kathleen Blake

Helen Kathleen Blake, 96 of Thomasville went home to be with the Lord Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Helen was born December 5, 1928 to the late Charlie Wright and Nora Hill Wright. She was a long-time member of Carolina Memorial Baptist Church where she sang in choir, attended Sunday school, and delivered Sunday worship tapes to the shut-ins of the church. Helen worked in the daycare of Mills Home for 25 years. She enjoyed attending ballgames of her grandchildren and spending time with her loved ones.

In addition to her parents, Helen was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Henry Blake on July 21, 1987; two brothers, Dalton and JT Wright.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Melissa Tysinger (Roger Crook) of Thomasville; a grandson, James “Jamey” Tysinger of Thomasville; great-grandchildren, Carley Blake Tysinger and James Cole Tysinger; extended family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Pastor Tim Landreth officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Carolina Memorial Baptist Church.
