Mr. Henry Alexie Charette, Sr., 62, a resident of Thomasville passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at the Hospice Home of High Point. He was born on April 3, 1958 in Warwick, Rhode Island to the late Henry Joseph Charette and Jackie Gore Nelms. He had a passion for spending time outdoors. Hunting, fishing and watching hummingbirds were some of his favorite hobbies. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR, wrestling and working with his hands as a carpenter. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his fiancée, Linda Garris; Stepdad, Tiny Johnson; and brother-in-law, Rick Garner.

Surviving are his four children, Ava Cox and husband Jimmy of Lexington, Erica Brower and Husband Tré of Walkertown, Racheal Charette of Thomasville, and Henry “Alex” Charette, Jr. of Thomasville; nine grandchildren, Hailo, Elijah, Sofia, Thurman, Riley, Noah, Oliver, Olivia, and Ashton; two sisters, Diana Lynn Brown of Thomasville, and Susanne Charette Garner and husband Jeff Harrison of Thomasville; three brothers, Michael Joseph Charette and fiancée Donna Owen of Southmont, Raymond Anthony Charette of Rhode Island, and René Noel “Cotton Top” and wife Donna of Rhode Island; Stepdad, Melvin Nelms; nephew, Matthew Burney of Thomasville; several more nieces and nephews; and two special cats, Spooky and Oreo.
