Holland Henry Martin Jr., better known simply as Henry, age 65, of Thomasville, North Carolina, passed away on the morning of March 22, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Henry was born on April 20, 1960, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, to Holland Henry Martin Sr. and Dallas Martin (Robbins).
He was raised with a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for dedication, perseverance and values that stayed with him throughout his life. Henry found his passion in trucking, a career that suited both his skills and his personality.
Henry was a man who understood the value of a hard day’s work and believed in treating others with fairness and respect. He was someone you could count on, steady, hardworking, and loyal to those he loved.
Those left to cherish Henry’s memory include his loving wife, Sherry; his three daughters, April Noble, Rachel Jones, (Brandon) and Angel Martin and a special step-daughter Candy Brown Taylor his 7 grandchildren, his 2 great-grandchildren, his sisters, Jane Walker, LuAnne Mabe, Darlene McAllister, and Margaret Gallimore; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, Holland Henry Martin Sr. and Dallas Martin.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 27, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm at J C Green & Sons Funeral Home in Winston-Salem, NC. The funeral service will be held in the chapel following the visitation at 7:15pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to the Derrick L. Davis Forsyth Regional Cancer Center 1010 Betheseda Court Winston-Salem, NC 27103.
