Ione Harmony Mack, age 78 of Thomasville, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 22, 2026, at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC.

She was born July 17, 1947, in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of the late Edmond Stanley Mack and Frances Iona Wolfe.

Ione drove a school bus for many years, and she enjoyed trying new restaurants with her closest friends as well as coloring with Jenny. She attended Trinity Holiness Church in her later years and enjoyed singing and praising the Lord.

In addition to her parents, Ione was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Mack, as well as her nephew, Stephen Foster; her beloved dogs, Bruiser and Bella.

Ione is survived by her sister, Joy Bridges of Thomasville, NC, as well as her niece by marriage, Penni Foster of Henderson, KY, as well as her great niece Nicole (Aaron) Barkley and their three children (Camden, Kensie, Hudson) of Henderson, KY. She also leaves behind special friends Jacqueline Fagan, Jill Hardway, Jenny Melendez, Andrea Packer, and her church friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at Trinity Holiness Church in Sophia, NC, with Rev. Tim Cole officiating. Friends and family may visit 30 minutes before the service at Trinity Holiness Church, 5017 Plainfield Rd, Sophia, NC, 27350.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Ione’s memory to Trinity Holiness Church or The Father’s Storehouse at 609 National Hwy, Thomasville, NC 27360.
