Jack Leon Elliott, Sr.

Jack Leon Elliott, Sr., 89, of Thomasville went home to be with the Lord, Monday evening, May 5, 2025 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington.

Jack was born March 9, 1936 to the late Claude Elliott and Ethel Rollins Elliott in Moore County. He served his country in the United States Army as a mechanic and was a dedicated employee of Thomasville Furniture where he worked in veneers and operated the wood shaper. He served the local church as a deacon and layperson for many years. Jack was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Trinity. He will be remembered for his skills of fixing anything, love of working outdoors, and kindness to his fellow man.

In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Judy Blakley Elliott; two siblings, James Reece Elliott and Jeanette Elliott Branson.

Surviving are his daughter, Sherry Elliott of Lexington; a son, Jack Leon Elliott, Jr. and Nancy of Williamsburg, VA; a grandson, Zach Elliott and wife Maggie of High Point; extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville with Pastor Mickey Briles officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. No formal viewing or visitation will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Faith Baptist Church or Hospice of Davidson County Online.
