Jack Myers Obituary

Mr. Jack Linville Myers, 74, a resident of Lexington, passed away Friday, July 17, 2020 at his residence. Mr. Myers was born November 9, 1945 to the late Terrance Myers Sr. and Juanita Myers and was raised in Thomasville. He owned and operated Myers Carving and Sanding for many years. On April 13, 2007 he married Carolyn Lowe. Mr. Myers was a member of the Thomasville Masonic Lodge, Woodmen of the World, and was President of the Thomasville Jaycees in 1978. He was proud of being an Eagle Scout and was a worldwide antique dealer. Mr. Myers enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, going to the beach, westerns, and eating good food. He was a family man, he loved spending as much time with them as he could. He also loved animals, and taking care of them. Mr. Myers formerly attended Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Bailey; a brother, Terrance “Buck” Myers, Jr.; and beloved Yorkie, Chaz Lewis Myers.

Mr. Myers is survived by his loving wife of 13 years, Carolyn Myers, of the home; a daughter, Heidi Elizabeth Myers; step-daughter, Amanda Murphy; step-son, Ted Pierce and wife Misty; a sister, Mary Alice Hege Gordon; grandchildren, Caitlin, Connor, Cara, and Collin Hayes, and Zachary Pierce; several nieces, nephews, and special friends.

A graveside service will be held, Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 11:00 AM in Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville. There will not be a formal visitation. Mr. Myers will lie in repose at the JC Green and Sons Funeral Home Tuesday from 1PM until 6PM for any who would like to come pay respects. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Online condolences can be made to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
