Jack Calvin Starkey Obituary
Mr. Jack Calvin Starkey, 87, of Lexington, passed away on Monday, December 22, 2025 at Magnolia Gardens Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Thomasville. He was born on June 13, 1938 in Gaston County, NC to Melvin Monroe Starkey and Elizabeth Whitman Starkey. He worked for many years in the textile industry with Jewell Cotton Mill in Thomasville and Highland in High Point.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn Starkey and Charles Starkey; and his sisters, Phyllis McLaurin, Lynda Hunt, and Betty Sheriff.
Surviving are his sisters, Nancy Barnes and Judy Barnes; his brother, Jimmy Starkey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 26, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Pastor Scott Steed officiating. The family will greet friends immediately following the service at the cemetery.
