James “JC” Clyde Hodges, 78, passed away unexpectedly, on March 14, 2025 at his residence in Thomasville. JC was born on June 27, 1946, in Galax, Virginia, to the late Albert Clyde Hodges and Ellie Roberts Hodges. He was a retired firefighter with the Thomasville Fire Department, where he served the community for many loyal years. JC enjoyed racing motorcycles in his younger years and loved to listen to music. His passion though, was classic cars. JC simply “loved” cars!! He organized and attended many cruise-in events with his friends and will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.
In addition to his parents, JC is preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Lee Hodges and his sister, Patsy Doughtery.
JC is survived by his wife and friend, Felicia Whitener of Thomasville; his brother, Mitchell Hodges and wife Vickie of Thomasville; two sisters, Sue Waterhouse of Thomasville and Connie McCoy and husband Wayne of Thomasville.
A Memorial Cruise-in will be held to honor JC and his life-time long love of cars on Sunday, April 27, 2025 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Kagan's Furniture 1628 South Main Street, High Point, NC 27260..
