James “Jim” Boyles Obituary

James “Jim” Barrett Boyles, 65, of Thomasville passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at his home. Jim was born December 7, 1960 in Davidson County to the late William “Bill” Cobb Boyles and Laura Ann Barrett Boyles. He was a graduate of Thomasville High School in 1979 and attended DCCC. He was a lifetime member of Memorial United Methodist Church. Jim began his career as a long-distance truck driver and did that for several years, until coming back home to work at the family business, Thomasville Coca-Cola. In 1989 he assumed the roles of President and Treasurer until the business sold. He then returned to OTR driving until his death. Jim loved his Father God and it showed in his daily life. He loved his family and cherished the time spent with them all. His granddaughters were the joy of his life. He loved the beach and traveled there with family when time allowed. He had an avid love for Harley Davidsons and always enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends.  He sometimes was an armchair coach and referee for football and ran lots of laps in his favorite chair watching NASCAR. He loved life and lived it to the fullest. He will be greatly missed. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph “Joe” William Boyles.

Surviving is his loving wife Martha “Tudie” Huggins Boyles of the home; daughter, Amber Griffey and husband Bobby; son, Will Boyles and wife Rachel; sister, Emily Foster; grandchildren, Reese, Layne, Georgia and Virginia due in April 2026. Jim also leaves behind a multitude of friends from this earthly life.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 20, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Memorial United Methodist Church in Thomasville with Rev. Danny Leonard officiating.
