James (Jim) Andrew Johnson

Mr. James (Jim) Andrew Johnson, 56, a beloved son, brother, and life partner, passed away on November 3, 2023 at Atrium Health High Point Medical Center.  He was born on February 14, 1967 in Guilford County, NC to William Boyd Johnson and Wilma Jean Calloway Johnson.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and music.  He was preceded in death by his mother.

Surviving is his life partner of 27 years, Robin Lynn Meyer of the home; his father, William Johnson and wife Dollie of Thomasville; brother, Terry Johnson and wife Jodie of Asheboro; sister, Angela Catron and husband Roger of Greensboro; step-sister, Samaria Hicks and husband Kirby; step-brother, Shawn Hayes; niece, Summer; nephews, Austin, Tanner, and Barret; and his canine companions, Buxton and Frisco.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Craig Smith officiating.  The family will receive friends on Monday one hour prior to the service from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  The family would like to express a sincere thank you to the nurses and doctors at the Hayworth Cancer Center for their loving and compassionate care.
