James “Jim” Michael Alberghine, 69, of Thomasville, formally of New York passed away Wednesday April 20, 2022 at Pelican Health and Rehabilitation in Thomasville. James was born July 22, 1952 in Queens, New York to the late Eteleo Alberghine and Elizabeth Arton Alberghine. Jim worked many years as a superintendent for the city of Long Beach in the Sewer division. Jim enjoyed watching TV and relaxing. He loved listening to music, any genre, especially oldies. Back in his younger days he was in a band with his friends called, “The Put Togethers”. Jim was a great dad, brother, companion and friend; he will be missed dearly by many. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl Gross Alberghine; one brother, Bobby Alberghine.
Surviving is his two sons, Adam Alberghine (Alexis) and James Alberghine (Shellie); his loving companion of 7 years, Mary Lewis of the home; his dog, Xena; two brothers, Eddie Eaton (Carolyn), Richie Alberghine; two sisters, Joyce Principato (Frank) and Diane Alberghine. He also leaves behind his beloved friends, Steve and Donna Knox and Ronnie Paganini.
