James (Jim) Richard Floyd Obituary

Mr. James (Jim) Richard Floyd, 77, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on November 15, 2023 at the Henry Etta & Bruce Hinkle Hospice House. He was born on September 8, 1946 in Davidson County, Thomasville, NC to Cicero McKinley Floyd and Kate Rebecca Culbreth Floyd. He was a US Marine Corp E-5 Sergeant Veteran. He retired from Thomasville Furniture Industries and loved baseball and music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Floyd, Johnny Floyd, Jerry Floyd, Darrell Floyd, Lester Floyd, and Mike Floyd; and his sisters, Ernestine Pruitt, Ella Robbins, Margaret Morgan, Betty Koontz, Imogene Parker, Helen Floyd, and Brenda Ward.

Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

At Jim’s request, no formal services will be held.
