James (Jimmy) Monroe Russell, Jr. Obituary
Mr. James “Jimmy” Monroe Russell, Jr., 69, of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at Novant Health Thomasville Medical Center.
He was born on November 23, 1955 in Sampson County, Clinton, NC to James Monroe Russell, Sr. and Aggie Lou Winders Russell Lee. He worked for Sullivan Insulation and Painting.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Angela Russell, Jenny Russell, and Kathryn Russell; his maternal grandparents, Albert and Ella Pate Winders; and his paternal grandparents, Emory H. Russell and Ida M. Hinkle.
Surviving is his son, James Aaron Russell of Kernersville and his mother, Karen Mills Powell; his brothers, Robert K. Russell of Thomasville and Michael Russell of Fairmont; his sister, Karen Foley of Thomasville; and his significant other, Elsie Mae Joiner of Thomasville.
No formal services will be held.
