Jasper (JB) Bibb Bruton, Jr.

Mr. Jasper Bibb (JB) Bruton, Jr., 96, of Thomasville passed away peacefully on Thursday May 21, 2020 at Spring Arbor of Thomasville. JB was born May 6, 1924 to the late Jasper Bibb Bruton, Sr. and Ila Gilmore Bruton in Montgomery County. Jasper worked many years in the Transportation Industry as a car-hauler. He loved playing golf, riding motorcycles and deep-sea fishing. He really enjoyed being outside whether it be going to High Rock Lake or working in his garden. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen (Kat) Horney Bruton on July 12, 2013; and one sister, Ruth McIntosh.

Surviving is one son, J. Bibb Bruton, III and wife Linda of Thomasville; one granddaughter, Amber Rominger (Bobby) of Advance; one great-grandchild, Reese Rominger; one niece, Laura Wright and husband Al; and one nephew, Bruce McIntosh; he also leaves behind many beloved cousins.

A Graveside service will be held Monday, May 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point with Rev. Eddie Sizemore officiating. The family will receive friends at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville Sunday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292, St. Jude, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Spring Arbor of Thomasville, 915W.
