Jeffrey "Jeff" Southern Obituary

Mr. Jeffrey “Jeff” Wayne Southern, 68 of Winston-Salem, NC passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025. Jeff was born August 19, 1956 in Stokes County, NC, a son of the late James Woodrow Southern and the late Berlena Hicks Southern and had made this area his home for the past twenty years. He was retired from Lowe’s Home Improvement, enjoyed golf, bowling, pool, going to the beach and hanging out at Lowe’s and Walmart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Jay Southern; brothers, Bobby Southern and Richard Southern; sisters Iris Bennett, Nancy Bibey, and Frances Tuttle. 

Those left to cherish his memory are his companion Mickie Doss of Winston-Salem; his son, Drew Southern and wife Amy of Stuart, VA.; brothers, Larry Southern of King, NC, Mike Southern and wife Kay of Yadkinville, NC; his sister, Brenda Vogler and husband Joe of King, NC; his grandchild, Ridge Southern of Stuart, VA; brother-in-law, Reggie Tuttle.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00PM Wednesday at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Winston-Salem, NC (Wallburg Community) 10301 N. NC Highway 109, Winston-Salem, NC 27107 with Pastor Jerry Tedder officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Parklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
