Mr. Jerry Edward Gallimore, 79, of Lexington passed away peacefully at his residence on Friday June 19, 2020 with his loving family by his side. Jerry was born January 7, 1941 to Troy Gallimore and Edith Loflin Gallimore in Randolph County. He was the original owner of Colonial Meats and after running it for many years, he concluded his professional career as a real estate developer. Jerry was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed rooting for his favorite driver, Dale Earnhardt and Dale Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Troy Gallimore Jr. and Joe Don Gallimore, sisters Lois Parrish, Joyce Lambeth, and Shirley Hedrick.
Surviving is his loving wife Nancy Barnes Gallimore; sons, Dean (Leslie) Gallimore, Eddie (Kelly) Gallimore; daughter, Leah Gallimore, granddaughter, Hannahlynne Gallimore; sisters, Norma Hall and Peggy (Larry) Lambeth; brother-in-law, Vann Hedrick; and sister-in-law, Patricia Gallimore.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 27, 2020 at 12:00 PM at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Karen Smith and Rev. Clyde Akers officiating. Burial of cremains will take place following the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville prior to the service from 10:00AM-12:00PM. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be sent to Hospice of Davidson County, 200 Hospice Way, Lexington, NC 27292.
