Jerry Everhart Obituary

Jerry Raymond Everhart, 80, of Thomasville went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, November 28, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Jerry was born January 25, 1945 in Davidson County to the late James Harding Everhart and Evelyn Lucille Russell Everhart. Jerry served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a member Clear Vision Church, formally known as Park Place Baptist Church. He loved serving the Lord, and doing anything he could to help the body of Christ. He worked for the United States Postal Service, where he served as a mail carrier and later a clerk for thirty plus years until his retirement. Jerry loved to go to yard sales and ask for your absolute lowest price and then walk away. His absolute favorite trips were to the coast with his fishing buddies- a pastime for which he spent countless hours, wrangling countless spools of fishing line for countless fishing rods. His greatest joy in life was the time and memories shared with his beloved grandchildren. He was a faithful husband, dad, grandpa, brother and friend, he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, James Harding Everhart, Jr. and one sister, Joyce Lavane Everhart Shaw Sides.

Surviving is his wife of 54 years, Christine Louise Cook Everhart, of the home; two sons, Andrew Everhart and wife Anne, Terry Everhart and wife Lauren; one daughter, Lori Mueller and husband Nick; two brothers, Michael Everhart and wife Becky and Freddie Everhart and wife Rhonda; three sisters, Sharon Clapp and husband Danny, Kathy Doub and husband Steve, Betty Miller and husband Kelly; seven grandchildren, Theo, Archie, Esther, Dash, Maisie, Aubree and Drew.
