Jerry Wade Younts, 79, of Lexington passed away Monday, May 18, 2026 at Davidson Health and Rehabilitation.

Jerry was born December 4, 1946 to the late Albert Wade Younts and Ruth Edith Parrish Younts of Randolph County. He worked for 23 years for Thomasville Furniture Industries and was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his daughter, Tammy Misenheimer (Mike) of Lexington; a special aunt, Christine Arnold of Lexington; two siblings, Billy R. Younts of Trintiy and Jackie Hunt (Crowson) of Thomasville; a grandson, Michael Stepp, Jr. (Kaelyn); great-grandchildren, Lakyn and Kaiden; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons Chapel in Thomasville with Rev. Randi Godfrey officiating. Burial will follow at Tabernacle Church of Trinity Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Tabernacle Church or Pleasant Grove UMC.
