Jimmie Ray Murdock

Jimmie Ray Murdock, 80, of Thomasville went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday evening, May 24, 2023 at his residence.

Jimmie was born December 2, 1942, son of the late Gilbert Murdock and Ersa Hunt Murdock. He served his country faithfully in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Jimmie made his career at Thomas Built Buses of High Point and was a member of Victory Baptist Church in Thomasville.

In addition to his parents, Jimmie was preceded in death by two siblings, Jerry Rumple and Wanda Myers.

Surviving are his loving wife of forty three years, Brenda Robinson Murdock of the home; a sister, Emily Barber and husband Charles; a brother, Richard Rumple and wife Cindy; several nieces and nephews and extended family.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, May 31, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville with Rev. Jim Vickrey officiating. Mr. Murdock will lie in state Tuesday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM at the J.C. Green and Sons funeral home in Thomasville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Victory Baptist Church for missions.
