Jimmy McElroy Obituary

Mr. Jimmy Reitzel McElroy, 78, a resident of Thomasville, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020 at the Randolph Hospice Home in Asheboro. He was born in Davidson County on November 14, 1941 to the late James McElroy and Ethel Parrish. Jimmy was a truck driver for J.B. Hunt for many years. He had a passion for travelling and was always the happiest when he was behind the wheel out on the road.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Justin McElroy and one brother, Johnny McElroy.

He is survived by his two daughters, Jamie Owen of Asheboro and Jennifer McElroy of Lexington; two grandchildren, Christopher McElroy and Alyssa Hill; and cousin, Harold Parrish of Lexington.
