JoAnne Meredith Saintsing Obituary

Mrs. JoAnne Meredith Saintsing, 86, a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at her home.  She was born on October 27, 1933 in Davidson County, NC to James Clennie Meredith and Letha Elizabeth Kinley Meredith.  She graduated from High Point College with a BA in education and was a member of the Delta Kappa Gamma society.  She was a retired school teacher and was a lifetime member of the NCEA and NEA.  She was a member of Unity United Methodist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Wilda Collins; and her brother, Danny Meredith.

On June 3, 1955, she married Estus Benniewayne (Bennie) Saintsing, who survives of the home; also surviving are her children, Wyatte Alexander Saintsing and wife Mellinda, Clifton Meredith Saintsing and wife Marieanne, Wayne Ennislee Saintsing and wife Lynn, and Cynthia Saintsing Winters, all of Thomasville; grandchildren, Kris Saintsing of CA, Gayle Collins and husband Jared of Wallburg, Mitch Saintsing and wife Nickie of Lewisville, Molly Graven and husband Jake of Thomasville, John Winters of Thomasville, and Abby Winters of Thomasville; and great-grandchildren, Westan and Walker Collins, and Mason and Henry Graven.

A private family graveside service will be held at Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery with Pastor Brian Russell officiating.  Mrs. Saintsing will lie in state at the J.C. Green & Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville on Thursday, April 9, 2020 from 12:00 – 6:00 PM for the public to pay their respects.  Memorials may be directed to Unity UMC, 608 National Highway, Thomasville, NC 27360 or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
