Mr. Joe Harold Hedrick, Sr., 90, a life-long resident of Thomasville went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday, December 5, 2025 at his residence.
Joe was born December 14, 1934, son of the late Charlie Lee Hedrick and Edna Mabyn Byerly of Davidson County. He served his country in the United States Army for two years. Joe was a long-time employee of Flav-O-Rich Dairy company and retired after a 30-year career. He was the oldest member of Rich Fork Baptist Church in Thomasville and loved being a part of the “Sunshine Gang”. Joe attended Trinity Baptist Church. He enjoyed Atlanta Braves Baseball and Carolina Tar Heels Basketball.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by three sisters, Dorothy Wilson, Edna Wilson, and infant sister, Betty Ruth Hedrick; a brother, James Hedrick; two nephews, Charles Robert Wilson, Scott Hedrick.
Left to cherish is memory are his loving wife of 60 years, Patsy “Pat” Peace Hedrick of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Ann Mashburn (Dean) of Pawleys Island, SC, Stacie Jane Womack (Billy) of Thomasville; a son, Rev. Joe “Joey” Hedrick, Jr. (Kim) of Stedman; six grandchildren, Michael Hedrick, Alyssa Pugh (Joseph), Lane Mashburn, Leah Mashburn, Ethan Womack, Elijah Womack; three great-grandchildren, Callie Hedrick, Addilyn Pugh, and Beckett John Pugh; several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A private family burial will be held at Rich Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Rich Fork Baptist Church in Thomasville with Rev. Tim Miller and Rev. Morris Little officiating.
