Joe Davis Poston

Mr. Joe Davis Poston, 80, of Thomasville passed away Thursday, March 6, 2025 at Hinkle Hospice Home in Lexington. Joe was born October 20, 1944 in Florence, South Carolina to the late Norvel Poston and Bernice Poston. He was a member of Park Place Baptist Church in Thomasville. He worked thirty-two years in the sanding room at Thomasville Furniture Industries. Joe loved being outside, whether it be fishing, hunting and gardening. Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Karen Todd Poston; one sister, Elsie Drew, two brothers, Bobby Allen Poston and Ralph Poston; one step-son, Joseph Allen Schneider, one step-grandson, Kenneth Clark.
Surviving is his wife, Betty Sharp Poston of the home; one son, Danny Poston and wife Angie of Thomasville; two daughters, Belinda Robertson and husband Michael, Sandra Huneycutt and husband Thad, all of Thomasville; one step-son, Vincent Schneider and wife Teri; two step-  daughters, Tammy Clark and husband Larry, Susan Barr, all of Thomasville; one brother, Randall Poston of Darlington, SC; five grandchildren, Jonathan Robertson, Charlotte Robertson, Monica Cox, Emily Kennedy, and Courtney Byrd; eight great-grandchildren, Jacob, Joseph, Alexis, Summer, Montgomery, Emett, Briley, and Everly; nine step-grandchildren, Stephen Clark, Alicia Glover, Amethyst Jackson, Dylan Barr, Joseph Schneider, Haley Caswell, Brittany Davis, Elizbeth Schneider, Michael Schneider, Jenither Siegrist; and eighteen step great-grandchildren.
