Joeangel Rodolfo Olmos Esquivel

Joeangel Rodolfo Olmos Esquivel, 11, a resident of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC.  He was born September 4, 2014, in Durham County to Joe Olmos and the late Victoria Esquivel.  

Joeangel had many health challenges in his life, but he was a blessing to his family and was dearly loved.  He liked to listen to Christian music and rain sounds to soothe his body and mind.  Joeangel liked to sit on his grandfather’s lap and be patted on the back.  He will be dearly missed by his whole family. 

Joeangel is survived by his father, Joe Olmos; his grandparents, Reynaldo and Maria T. Valdez Esquivel; his brother, Leo Mendoza Esquivel and his sister, Sophia Grace Esquivel; and many extended family members. 

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM Noon on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at J.C. Green and Sons Funeral Home in Thomasville, with Reynaldo Esquivel, officiating.  Burial will follow the service at Holly Hill Memorial Park in Thomasville.  The family will greet friends on Monday evening from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
