John Thomas "Tom" Cox

John Thomas “Tom” Cox, 63, of Thomasville passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025 at his home. Tom was born March 3, 1962 in Davidson County to Lawrence Fulcher Cox (Larry) and Betty Sue Wilson Cox. He was a graduate of Thomasville High School, Class of 1980. He was interested in art from a young age. Tom had a summer session at N.C. School of the Arts in Winston Salem. He studied graphic arts and design at Guilford Technical Institute and he worked in the field of graphic art for 42 years. Tom was a true Renaissance man; he had interest and passion for all life had to offer. He was very talented at playing the guitar, and loved all music. He was an avid model car enthusiast and appreciated fine cars, a few in his own personal collection. In May of 2023, he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, he fought a brave battle. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was proceeded in death by his father, Lawrence (Larry) Fulcher Cox.

Surviving is his mother, Betty Sue Wilson Cox of the home; his brother, Bill Cox and wife Annette; niece, Crystal Bare and husband Rick; and his two cats, Jack and Bart.

A graveside inurnment will be held Friday, October 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery in High Point with Rev. Gina Schaefer officiating. The family will greet friends following the graveside service. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.jcgreenandsons.com.
